FreeShare Client And Server Version Changes

Version 1.0.6 (Client) - May 1, 2007:

1. Fourteen new original User Icons hand-drawn by WunderWerkz Software, bringing the total to 77 new User Icons to date.

2. New "New Account" and "Open Account" logical icons in the FreeShare Client Toolbar (Admin privs).

3. New "New Folder", "Up One Folder Level" and "Open Download Folder" logical icons in the Files window toolbar.

4. New "News Bundle" and "Back One News Bundle" logical icons in the paned news window.

5. New "Refuse Private Chat" and "Refuse Private Messages" logical icons in "FreeShare Online Users" window.

Version 1.0.5 (Client & Server) - April 17, 2007:

1. New "User Status" icons introduced to server and client.

2. Modified some client-to-user error strings.

3. Fixed bug accidentally introduced whereby splashscreen was still showing, even though user had it disabled in their prefs.

4. Added new "User Options" button to FreeShare Client Toolbar.

Version 1.0.4 (Server) - April 14, 2007:

1. Options Window/General Tab - readjusted position of pane elements, and added a port hint for new FreeShare server Admins.

2. Options Window/Info Tab - readjusted position of pane elements, and made modifications to text.

3. Options Window/Banner Tab - readjusted position of pane elements, and made modifications to text.

4. Options Window/Misc Tab - readjusted position of pane elements, and made modifications to text.

Version 1.0.3 (Server) - April 11, 2007:

1. The "banned user name" message which is sent to the user is now Admin-definable. The allotted length of this string has been doubled from 127 characters to 255 characters. Look for it on the "Misc" tab.

2. The allotted length of the server description string has been doubled from 127 characters to 255 characters.

3. Many internal server-to-client error strings modified.

Version 1.0.2 (Server) - April 10, 2007:

1. Created a new "Messages" tab in the "FreeShare Server Options" window, and moved the four Admin-definable messages, (incorrect login, chat before download, post before download, refused pm/private chat), from the "Misc" tab to the new "Messages" tab.

2. The allotted length of these four messages has been doubled from 127 characters to 255 characters so Admins can be more expressive.

3. The size of the text fields to enter these Admin-definable messages has been tripled, making it much easier for the Admin to enter data.

4. The allotted length of the login message has also been augmented from 127 characters to 255 characters.

5. The size of the login message text field has been adjusted accordingly to make it easier to enter the login message text.

6. The login message delivery options have been re-arranged on the "Login Msg" tab, formerly known as the "Login Message" tab.

7. Made some textual changes on the "Trackers" tab and realigned the elements contained in the window.

8. More space was placed between the "Cancel" and "Save" buttons located on the "FreeShare Server Options" window, to help avoid hitting the wrong button, and possibly losing one's work.

9. Other minor internal code enhancements.

Version 1.0.2 (Client) - April 7, 2007:

1. With this release, we are happy to introduce the first of 50 original User Icons, meticulously and tediously handcrafted by WunderWerkz Software, pixel by pixel. These new User Icons are in addition to the original Hotline User Icons which are still available in the client. However, please note that only people who also use the FreeShare Client will be able to see these new icons. Other users, (old Hotline client and Hotline clones), will only see a blank space next to your name. Let's move into the future!

2. Wrote a Quick Start Guide for the FreeShare Client.

3. Small graphic correction made to FreeShare Server main panel.

Version 1.0.1 (Client and Server) - April 4, 2007:

1. New button added to the FreeShare client toolbar to connect the user to the WunderWerkz Software website.

2. Client/Server-used icons have been removed from the user icon table located on the FreeShare client's Options/Icon tab.

3. The kick message which is sent to users who have private messaging and/or private chat disabled is now Admin-definable.

4. There are now separate icons for uploads folders and drop boxes.

5. Many GUI enhancements implemented in client and server window title bars and menus.

6. More new "logical icons" in toolbars.

7. Many grammatical and textual corrections were made in some windows, as well as in some client and server generated messages.

8. Much better layout of some server options windows with added hints for new FreeShare admins.

9. Several new user icons. You must use the FreeShare client, and not the Hotline client, or a Hotline clone, in order to see them.
