Why Did Jesus Die For Us?

Hi! Do you want to know why Jesus died for you? (meaning
everybody). If you do, you might want to read this article.
Maybe you have read a chapter in the Book of John that talks
about the Crucifixion of Jesus, and you thought that Jesus
only died for the Jews. But God loves us so much, that He
sent His Son to take our place and to die for all of us.
Here are four verses that will help you to understand:
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
"And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men
unto me." (John 12:32)
"And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even
eternal life." (1 John 2:25)
"Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down
his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the
brethren." (1 John 3:16)
So God wants to see us in Heaven. He doesn't want to see us
go to hell. So, even though we're sinners, God loves us so
much, that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to take our
place and die on the cross. Here are two verses from the
Bible that will help you to understand:
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption
that is in Christ Jesus:" ( Romans 3:23-24)
Redemption means the act of saving something. 'Being
justified freely by his grace' means that we do not have to
pay in order to be righteous, or to be saved; all we need to
do is to accept God's Grace and Mercy through Jesus Christ.
That is the only way that we Christians can be saved; and
that is why our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, died for us.
Here are two more verses that talk about being saved by
Grace:
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any
man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
I hope this article has been a blessing to you, and that it
has helped you to understand why Jesus died for us.
