Recently, I was counseling a Christian woman regarding a
certain problem she was experiencing in her marriage. The
gist of it was that, for various reasons, the woman was not
happy with the church she and her husband were attending, so
she decided to not attend all, leaving the husband to go
alone. I first addressed this problem in the article called
'Churchianity Or Christianity : Which Do You Practice?',
which I wrote over eight months ago. In spite of the advice
I offered at that time, it seems that the problem was not
fully resolved; thus the need arose for me to exchange a few
more email messages with this woman. In her latest messages
to me, she informed me that her church is temporarily being
shepherded by a female pastor, being as the previous pastor
had resigned, or moved on to another church. I don't recall
the precise details at this time.
While I have addressed this topic before, allow me to state
again that, as far as I am aware, nowhere in the Bible are
women instructed to lead the Lord's Church; nowhere. While
we do find a few isolated examples where certain women were
granted a degree of political and/or spiritual authority,
particularly in the Old Testament, such as with the case of
Prophetess and Judge, Deborah, and Queen Esther, God never
granted this same degree of spiritual authority to women in
the New Testament. To the contrary, the Apostle Paul, tells
us quite plainly that Christian women are to keep silent in
the church. This most certainly prevents them from accepting
the role of a pastor or minister:
"Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not
permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be
under obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will
learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it
is a shame for women to speak in the church."
1 Corinthians 14:34-35, KJV
While Paul was writing specifically regarding those women
who desired to exercise the Gifts of Prophecy and Tongues,
common sense dictates that his words apply even more when we
speak of a woman spiritually leading an entire church. Some
liberal-minded souls seeking to invalidate my understanding,
might point to the incident concerning the Prophetess Anna
found in the second chapter of the Gospel of Luke. While it
is true that Anna was present in the Temple during Jesus'
circumcision on the eighth day after His Birth, she was by
no means usurping the authority of the priesthood of that
era. She was an old woman of eighty-four who was temporarily
inspired by God's Holy Spirit, as the text clearly relates.
The same thing occurred with the old man Simeon only a few
minutes earlier. These people were not recognized leaders in
the Temple:
"And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was
Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for
the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.
And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he
should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.
And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the
parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the
custom of the law, Then took he him up in his arms, and
blessed God, and said, Lord, now lettest thou thy servant
depart in peace, according to thy word: For mine eyes have
seen thy salvation, Which thou hast prepared before the face
of all people; A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the
glory of thy people Israel. And Joseph and his mother
marvelled at those things which were spoken of him. And
Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold,
this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in
Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against; (Yea,
a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the
thoughts of many hearts may be revealed. And there was one
Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of
Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband
seven years from her virginity; And she was a widow of about
fourscore and four years, which departed not from the
temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and
day. And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise
unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for
redemption in Jerusalem. And when they had performed all
things according to the law of the Lord, they returned into
Galilee, to their own city Nazareth." Luke 2:25-39, KJV
For informational and historical purposes, allow me to also
share with you the part of the Levitical Law where the rites
of circumcision and purification are mentioned by Moses:
"And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the
children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed,
and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven days;
according to the days of the separation for her infirmity
shall she be unclean. And in the eighth day the flesh of his
foreskin shall be circumcised. And she shall then continue
in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days; she
shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary,
until the days of her purifying be fulfilled. But if she
bear a maid child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as
in her separation: and she shall continue in the blood of
her purifying threescore and six days. And when the days of
her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter,
she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt
offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin
offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation, unto the priest: Who shall offer it before the
LORD, and make an atonement for her; and she shall be
cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for
her that hath born a male or a female. And if she be not
able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or
two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the
other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make an
atonement for her, and she shall be clean."
Leviticus 12:1-8, KJV
Returning to the Prophetess Anna, to be temporarily inspired
by the Holy Ghost, as was her case, is by no means the same
thing as spiritually leading the entire Body of Christ in a
regular capacity, and on a regular basis as we see happening
with some women preachers today. In fact, I would dare say
that this modern phenomenon is more akin to the rebellious
false prophetess Jezebel, who by the Word of the Lord, John
describes for us in the Book of Revelation. This proud,
deceitful woman set herself up as a spiritual leader over
what basically amounted to an ancient sex cult. Consider
these verses:
"Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because
thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a
prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit
fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I
gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she
repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them
that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except
they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children
with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he
which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto
every one of you according to your works."
Revelation 2:20-23, KJV
As you can see by the previous verses, the Lord strongly
condemned this woman due to her heresies and fornication,
which led His children astray. In the Gospels, Jesus issued
a similar warning to those who would cause His children to
fall away from the faith, and from sound doctrine, when He
said:
"But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which
believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were
hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth
of the sea." Matthew 18:6, KJV
As I point out in several other articles, in the original
Greek, that word 'offend' does not have the same meaning as
it does today. It is from the Greek word 'skandalizo', and
means to place an obstacle in one's way, so that they sin
and fall away from the truth of the Gospel. Placing the sin
of sexual perversion before a person, so that they fall to
temptation and forsake the true Gospel of Christ will not go
unpunished, according to the Lord's own words in Matthew and
the Book of Revelation.
Since Jezebel's time, other so-called Christian sex cults
have been founded as well. In our more recent history, some
of you are undoubtedly familiar with the Children of God; a
fundamentalist group started in the late sixties by the now-
deceased David Brandt Berg, who went by the various names of
Moses David, Mo, Father David and Dad. During the late 70's
and early 80's, this group underwent several name changes,
in order to reflect some doctrinal changes which are clearly
a radical departure from traditional Christianity. These new
doctrines included what became known as 'Flirty Fishing', or
prostituting for Jesus, and sexual 'sharing' amongst group
members, both between adults and children alike. During the
past twenty years or so, they have been known as the Family
Of Love, and more recently, simply as the Family; however,
in local situations, they also adopt unique names as a way
to conceal their true identity, and thus avoid harassment
due to the unscriptural doctrines associated with them. At
their primary web site, thefamily.org, they are fond of
using the name of the 'Fellowship of Independent Missionary
Communities'.
Due to heavy worldwide persecution, and a highly-publicized
British court case in the 1990's, on more than one occasion
the Family has publicly claimed that it abandoned its Flirty
Fishing doctrine around 1987, (possibly due to the threat of
AIDS), and that it has supposedly put an end to adult-child
sexual relationships. Initially, the group claimed that such
sexual abuse was non-existent; but upon being pressured by
Judge Ward, several years later, they recanted David Berg's
sexual doctrines, and claimed that while there were isolated
incidents of child sexual abuse, it was never sanctioned by
the Family leadership. The people who say this are blatant
liars and outright hypocrites, as reliable, first-hand evi-
dence on the Internet, and elsewhere, (including their own
private publications), will clearly reveal. Not only did the
Family leadership promote the sexual activity between adults
and minors, but to this day they still remain convinced that
there is nothing wrong with their sex-related doctrines and
practices, in spite of the subtle veil of deceit and false
respectability they try to cast over the eyes of an unwary
public.
And believe me, they have indeed been quite successful with
their campaign of deceit. If you visit their main web site,
or any of their various other worldwide web sites, you won't
be given a clue of what really lies behind all of the many
smiling faces, the inspiring Christian testimonies, and the
examples of reaching out to the sick, downtrodden and poor
of the Earth. For an example closer to America, consider the
fact that during the Clinton administration, year after year
a singing group called the Family Singers has performed at
the White House during the Christmas season. As their name
obviously implies, this group is comprised of second genera-
tion members of the Family. Through public deceptions such
as this, the Family is trying to prove to the world that
they have indeed changed; but let the facts be known: The
only reason they curtailed the adult-child sexual liaisons
within their communities, was due to serious legal threats.
The Family has not totally forsaken its sexual perversions.
If anything, it has gotten much worse, as you will see in a
moment. Knowing what I do, I can't help but wonder how many
politicians in Washington, D.C. have been 'Flirty Fished' by
the Family. That is an awfully big, influential, and rich
fishing pond; a perfect target for the Family!
Prior to his death in 1994, Mr. Berg appointed Karen Zerby,
(his long-time lover, secretary, and second wife), who is
known to cult members as Maria, or affectionately as Mama,
as the heiress to the Family's top leadership position. This
development was anticipated by Family members, not only due
to the fact that Zerby, and her new mate, Peter Amsterdam,
had already begun to take the reins of the organization a
few years before, but also because, since their early years,
Berg and Zerby have been recognized by the group as God's
Endtime prophets. In fact, as I discovered quite some time
ago, the Family's membership charter includes a clause which
states that all full-time members, known as CM's, or Charter
Members, must unconditionally accept the so-called 'Divinely
appointed' status of the pair. From material I have read
recently, Peter Amsterdam is also now recognized as having
received of Berg's spiritual mantle, and thus is referred to
as 'King Peter'.
In this regard, the Family is no different than Sun Myung
Moon's so-called Unification Church, (commonly known to most
people as the 'Moonies'), where he and his wife, Hak Ja Han,
are respectfully referred to as 'True Parents'. Tragically,
the 'Moonie' deception is even worse, because Reverend Moon
and his wife claim to fulfill what, according to them, Jesus
was unable to fulfill. Consider the following deceptive info
taken from the tparents.org web site. It clearly reveals the
driving force and belief behind the multi-million dollar
worldwide empire known today as the Unification Church:

Parents (Reverend and Mrs. Moon).
Adam and Eve should have been the True Parents of humanity.
A physical and spiritual ideal world (Kingdom of Heaven)
should have stemmed from them. However, they fell by sexual

Heavenly Father worked with fallen man to make a foundation
to send a Second Adam, Jesus. Jesus, the Second Adam, should
have fulfilled what Adam did not. Jesus should have grown to
maturity, married a Second Eve, had children, and established
a Kingdom of Heaven on Earth and in Heaven. However, he was
not received by those prepared to welcome him, resulting in
Jesus going the way of the cross. The cross gave spiritual
salvation, but could not solve the entire problem of sin.
Since, Jesus could not fulfil his entire mission, Heavenly
Father had to rebuild the foundation for True Parents, by
sending the Third Adam, Sun Myung Moon. Rev. Moon fulfilled
the mission of True Parents that Adam and Jesus had failed
to fulfil. By uniting with Rev. and Mrs. Moon humanity can
fulfil their purpose of creation and enter the Kingdom of
Heaven both spiritually and physically.

Returning to the Family, together with her new lover/helper,
Peter Amsterdam, Karen Zerby not only oversees the general
administration of the group, but similar to evil Jezebel of
old, she establishes new doctrine for them as well; which is
said to come by prophetic revelation from the Lord. In other
words, if a member does not accept Maria's royal edicts as
'Thus saith the Lord', his or her loyalty to the Family, as
well as to the Lord, is seriously questioned; and his or her
status with the Family is placed in jeopardy. In short, the
Family leadership employs a cruel array of tactics, such as
psychological manipulation, fear, coercion, intimidation,
isolation, self-doubt, etc., in order to keep each Family
member in line. There is little room for self-expression or
unfettered thinking. In fact, like other cults, the Family
uses these very same tactics to keep members in the first
place. Many are the stories of ex-cult members who, upon
leaving the cult, feel that they have failed God, and are
fearful of His imminent judgments. It can take many years to
overcome such feelings of fear and inferiority, if ever.
Besides the fact that sexual liaisons, or 'sharing', between
unmarried adults has not abated within the Family, some of
Karen Zerby's more shocking revelations during the past five
years include the 'Marriage of the Generations' doctrine, as
well as the 'Loving Jesus Revolution'. The primary purpose
of the first was to encourage SGA's, that is to say, Second
Generation Adults, to have sexual relations with the older
members of the Family's founding generation; their parents.
From what I have read, Maria's goal was to use sex to break
down the barrier between the two age groups. What a novel
approach to breaking down the Generation Gap; and yes, I am
being sarcastic! It was only after being warned by other
Family leaders, that such a volatile doctrine might totally
destroy what was left of the organization, that 'the Lord'
instructed Maria and Peter to place this new revelation on
hold; at least for the time being, until the group's libido
could be adjusted a bit through more subtle indoctrination;
and that is indeed happening even as I write this! Read on!
So exactly what is this 'Loving Jesus Revolution' all about?
According to this strange, new doctrine, (which can easily
be verified, by the way), while engaging in private master-
bation, or regular heterosexual sex, Maria encourages male
cult members to imagine that they possess female genitalia;
and that Jesus is penetrating them. Besides imagining that
they are being penetrated by the Lord, female members are
also encouraged to pretend that they are performing oral sex
on Jesus. As if this weren't already sickening enough, both
male and female members are also encouraged to use sexual
pleadings with the Lord, while they touch themselves. This
is to be accompanied by words which you will only find on
the worst web sites, or in X-rated movies and magazines!
Just last night, I acquired some actual excerpts from this
'Loving Jesus' series by Zerby. It is extremely graphical in
nature; and it is for this reason that I am hesitant to even
include any of it here. Believe me; not only would you find
the excerpts quite offensive, but our servers and web site
could face some legal problems as well if I were to post it;
even though it would be for the sake of exposing the heinous
sins of this demon-inspired group. As a final shocker, allow
me to inform you that two different versions of the 'Loving
Jesus' series were released by the Family leadership; one
for adult CM members, and the other for CM members fourteen
years or older. In the latter, Maria clearly tells the young
readers that the reason why they cannot read the unedited
version, is not because they don't trust them, but rather it
because they are fearful of the legal ramifications which
may result if they were allowed to do so. Here are Maria's
own words. Please note that 'DO' in the heading means that
it is 'Disciples Only' material. In other words, what you
are about to read is NOT meant to be seen by anyone outside
of the Family. These excerpts are very mild compared to the
rest:

25. As you were told earlier, you are reading an edited
version of these Letters. ̉It's not because we don't trust
you, or because we think you're just little kids, or because

matters.. Some parts of the message are applicable to you,
but other parts are not. Some portions needed to be slightly
edited to make them less graphic and more appropriate for
your age group.
27. We have prayerfully gone over the material in these GNs
to make sure that it is suitable for your needs. . . . Also,
we don't want to be guilty of giving you junior teens
reading material that would be offensive or not legally
permissible for people your age from the System's point of
view. We want to give you as much Word as we can, without
going too far or causing any legal problems for the Family.
We need to try to stay within the law.
125. By worldly standards, it is not very proper for a
Christian to say "____" and "____," as those words are
considered dirty slang words, but the Lord instructs us that
if He chooses to use them, then they are clean, and we
shouldn't be offended or disgusted or turned off by them.
However, just as you don't make "____" a part of your normal
everyday vocabulary, so you shouldn't with these words
either, especially not to outsiders!
126. He [The Lord] makes it clear that using such words as
"____," "____" or "____" is not wise or loving with
outsiders.

With the above, Maria is telling them that it isn't that the
Family leadership believes that their doctrines regarding
sex are wrong; it is simply that they must watch out for the
law! In short, Maria and Peter are teaching the children to
be deceitful with the outside world, just as the leadership
has been for the past thirty-two years, and continues to be
to this day. They are teaching the teens to be liars just
like themselves in order to protect themselves, and their
perverse doctrines; and what did Jesus say?:
"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's
clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall
know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns,
or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth
good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A
good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a
corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that
bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into
the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."
Matthew 7:15-20, KJV
If left to themselves, Maria and Peter will continue to
spawn an evil generation which is even worse than their own!
From everything I have read recently, it is clear to me that
Karen Zerby is a modern-day, power-mad, sex-driven Jezebel;
who through fear and coercion, is driving her deceived flock
to the depths of physical and spiritual sin. Unless she is
stopped, she will destroy herself, and destroy the group in
the process. During the past several years, some of the top
leadership of the group has left, because try as they might,
they cannot stop the speeding train from self-destruction.
Zerby has set her course, and it appears that she has become
totally immune to sound reasoning and judgment. If the group
comes to this, it would indeed be sad; because in spite of
their many weird, unscriptural, and sinful doctrines, there
are some sincere, dedicated Christians within the group who
truly want to serve the Lord with all their hearts; but they
are under very strong deception by their own choice. They
are caught under the sexual spell of the evil witch Jezebel!
Some of those people have spent their entire adult lives in
the Family; as much as thirty-two years in fact! Just imagine
how totally indoctrinated / poisoned they must be! They have
become so blind to the truth, that even seeing how their own
children are being sexually victimized, with their consent,
no longer even affects them! They think that it is natural,
normal, and even godly! As the Apostle Paul said, these kind
of people have become totally blind; they are past feeling;
they are beyond the conviction of God's Spirit:
"Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the
life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because
of the blindness of their heart: Who being past feeling have
given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all
uncleanness with greediness." Ephesians 4:18-19, KJV
In case you don't know what Paul means by lasciviousness,
uncleanness and greediness, he is referring to selfishly
fulfilling one's own unbridled, lustful, sexual desires in
a life without boundaries. Look up the Greek words if you
don't believe me. How fitting these verses are for the
Family! In thinking about this sad situation, I can only
find consolation in the following verses:
"And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let
them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it
will come to nought: But if it be of God, ye cannot
overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against
God." Acts 5:38-39, KJV
For me personally, the above verses present a real dilemma;
because world courts and governments have tried repeatedly
for many years to put a stop to the Family, but without full
success. They have been persecuted, imprisoned and deported;
and a few have even lost their lives; yet this small group
of under 5,000 full-time adult members, continues to carry
on their world mission. If the Family has indeed become this
evil, and this corrupt, as it seems it has, it is up to God
now to stop it, if He so chooses; and it may be the weight
of their own sins which brings them down. I am reminded of
an example of sexual perversion in the Epistles where the
Apostle Paul addresses the church at Corinth concerning a
case of incest. In that incident, Paul warns them with the
following sobering words:
"To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of
the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the
Lord Jesus." 1 Corinthians 5:5, KJV
Perhaps it won't come to that. In the case of Maria, Peter
and the Family, maybe judgment will be delayed until the
End, and the tares, (the Family), and the wheat, (true God-
fearing and Bible-believing Christians), will be allowed to
grow together until the Final Harvest, as we see here:
"So the servants of the householder came and said unto him,
Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence
then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done
this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go
and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather
up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both
grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest
I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the
tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the
wheat into my barn." Matthew 13:27-30, KJV
This story of the Children of God / Family Of Love / The
Family, is a clear example of what can happen when a woman
is allowed to usurp the spiritual authority which God has
clearly given to men in the Bible. It is just another sign
of this liberal 'women's lib' spirit, and 'equality' spirit,
which has invaded the world, and more specifically, modern
Christianity, in these Latter Times. If David Brandt Berg
was corrupt and deceived, Karen Zerby and her sex crew are
even moreso; and I honestly don't know what will be the end
of them. Lest I be accused of being a woman-hater, allow me
to clarify that I am NOT by any means stating that all women
are evil; or even that all women would become as Karen Zerby
/ Maria. It would be ludicrous for me to even make such a
statement; however, Miss Zerby's wayward example does reveal
how bad things can become, unless they are kept in check by
the Lord's Spirit. For the record, I have known a number of
Christian women during my lifetime, who do have a humble and
submissive spirit, and they are definitely not like the
woman I have described here.
To reiterate my main point, throughout the Bible, women
normally play a supportive role to their husbands and male
leaders. As I noted earlier, in a few rare instances in the
Old Testament, the Lord did raise up a woman in order to
fulfill His Divine Purpose; but in the two examples I gave,
that is, Deborah and Esther, there was also a dominant male
figure. In the case of the Prophetess Deborah, we find the
military leader, Barak, of the tribe of Naphtali, who along
with his brethren from the tribe of Zebulon, pursued Kishon
Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army. In the end, it was
Jael, the wife of Heber the Kenite, who smote Sisera by
driving a nail through his head, after his army had been
destroyed by Barak and his brethren:
"But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the host,
unto Harosheth of the Gentiles: and all the host of Sisera
fell upon the edge of the sword; and there was not a man
left. Howbeit Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of
Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite: for there was peace
between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the
Kenite. And Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said unto him,
Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; fear not. And when he had
turned in unto her into the tent, she covered him with a
mantle. And he said unto her, Give me, I pray thee, a little
water to drink; for I am thirsty. And she opened a bottle of
milk, and gave him drink, and covered him. Again he said
unto her, Stand in the door of the tent, and it shall be,
when any man doth come and enquire of thee, and say, Is
there any man here? that thou shalt say, No. Then Jael
Heber's wife took a nail of the tent, and took an hammer in
her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the nail into
his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was
fast asleep and weary. So he died. And, behold, as Barak
pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said unto
him, Come, and I will shew thee the man whom thou seekest.
And when he came into her tent, behold, Sisera lay dead, and
the nail was in his temples. So God subdued on that day
Jabin the king of Canaan before the children of Israel. And
the hand of the children of Israel prospered, and prevailed
against Jabin the king of Canaan, until they had destroyed
Jabin king of Canaan." Judges 4:16-24, KJV
Right after this, in Judges chapter five, we see Deborah and
Barak rejoicing together, as they sing their song of praise
and victory to the Lord. What is interesting to note here,
is that even before Barak went to fight against Sisera and
his army, Deborah told him that while he would be victorious
in battle, Sisera, the Canaanite captain, would be defeated
by a woman:
"And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the
captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his
multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand. And Barak
said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but
if thou wilt not go with me, then I will not go. And she
said, I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding the
journey that thou takest shall not be for thine honour; for
the LORD shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And
Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh."
Judges 4:7-9, KJV
Why did the Lord do this? Was it to show that He had changed
rules since Genesis chapter three, and that women were now
equal to men? I don't think so. This would contradict the
bulk of Scriptural evidence we find throughout the Bible. I
speculate that the Lord used this tactic merely to humble
Jaban the Canaanite king and his army, and to show His great
power through the fact that He could even defeat the enemies
of the Israelites by using women.
As we continue this discussion in part two, we will take a
closer look at the life of Queen Esther. I'll also provide
additional Scriptures which will more clearly define the
woman's place in the Lord's New Testament Plan, as well as
further reveal the role that men are to play in the Lord's
Church. This will include a look at such topics as Gideon
and Abimelech, pride humility and submissiveness, Scriptural
examples of God choosing men for spiritual and leadership
positions, God's immutability, women in supportive roles,
the 'male nor female' controversy, sin in Eden and Eve's
